In 1977 a seminar was convened by Alan Macfarlane at King's College, Cambridge, to bring together historians and anthropologists around the theme of models of social change. The eight hours of the seminar were filmed professionally. For many years the tapes have been unusable. Recently they have been restored and the films put on the web. The participants include Peter Burke (Chair), Jack Goody, Maurice Godelier, Edmund Leach, Keith Hopkins, Edward (E.P.) Thompson, Maurice Bloch, Joel Kahn, Sally Humphreys, Raphael Samuel, Arnaldo Momiliagno, Ernest Gellner and Tom Bottomore.
